Celebrity hairstylist Bridget Brager created a soft, subtly glamorous hair look for actress Kiernan Shipka for the recent Claiborne Swanson Frank’s "Young Hollywood" book launch hosted by Michael Kors on Thursday, October 2nd in Beverly Hills, CA. “Kiernan's look tonight was inspired by her beautiful Michael Kors dress," said Brager. "We opted for soft waves and shine."

1. Says Brager, "I applied Kerastase Mousse Bouffante Luxurious Volumizing Mousse roots to ends. Then I rough-dried the hair until it was 85% dry and used a large round brush to smooth the hair until it was completely dry. For a quick and beautiful blow out, rough-drying hair allows natural texture and volume to come out. Once you have a good foundation, using a round boar bristle brush skinnies and smooths the hair down and brings it together, which allows shine to come to the surface.
2. "Next I sectioned out her bangs and used a large velcro roller, rolling the bangs back and away from the face for a swoopy soft bang effect - and secured with a duck bill clip.
3. "Using a 1.25-inch T3 Curling Iron, I wrapped 1-inch sections of hair vertically, starting at the mid shaft of each section and moving back towards the face, making sure to curl the ends. Once all the hair was set and cooled, I softened the waves by brushing them out. Then I used Kerastase Short Mania Semi-Matte Sculpting Paste and scrunched it into the hair for texture and light hold.
4. "After brushing the bangs into place, I finished the look with an all-over mist of Oribe Superfine Hairspray."
