Paris Fashion Week: Futuristic Looks at Akris by Guido

Using the hair as an extension of the designer’s visor accessory, Redken Creative Consultant Guido created a futuristic look at Akris’ Spring/Summer 2015 show in Paris. To achieve the minimalist style, Guido used Pillow Proof Blow Dry express primer and Satinwear 02 Prepping Blow-Dry Lotion before going over the hair with a flatiron, complementing the simple visors worn by each girl and enhancing the simple silhouette seen on the Akris runway.
 
“Akris is very nostalgic as a brand with their whole aesthetic being quite minimal, so here we created very simple, futuristic hair," said Guido. "I used Pillow Proof Blow Dry express primer to extend the blow dry and Satinwear 02 Prepping Blow-Dry Lotion to create this very sleek look. Each girl is wearing a visor with the hair being part of the overall silhouette. The look feels a bit futuristic and clean, very minimalistic, with the hair being an accessory to the visor.”
 
Get the Look:
1. Thoroughly mist Pillow Proof Blow Dry express primer all over damp hair.

2. Apply a nickel-size amount of Satinwear 02 Prepping Blow-Dry Lotion throughout damp hair and blow-dry straight with a paddle brush. Go over the hair with a flatiron.

3. To finish, comb hair straight back and apply Forceful 23 Super Strength Finishing Spray for added hold.
