Joico

In 2010, Joico created the groundbreaking Beauty for a Cure program, designed to help spread awareness about breast cancer and engage salon professionals in activities to raise money for breast cancer-related organizations.  On July 1, fueled by the success of the launch, Joico unveils the “next generation” Beauty for a Cure website, featuring an expanded roster of downloadable fund-raising programs and celebrating the salons and stylists who have participated in Beauty for a Cure events.

“Joico is not only a hair care, color and styling company,” says Sara Jones, senior vice president of Joico/ISO and the 2011 City of Hope Spirit of Life Award Recipient.  “We’re also a company that cares, in an industry that cares, and the proof is the rapid growth of Joico’s Beauty for a Cure initiative.”

The new website features turnkey, downloadable breast cancer programs—including cut-a-thons, silent auctions, “Touch of Pink” ribbon events and service and product promotional programs—that salons can customize to their individual businesses and communities.  Each program features posters, planners, letters, press alerts and other printables that make it easy for salons to really get involved this year. There will also be complete information on all of the 2011 Joico/ISO Breast Cancer Awareness promotions, including a first-ever Joico/Shiseido “Glimmer of Hope” BCA gift set. And this year, Joico introduces pink, stretch BCA wristbands, available in packs of 25, imprinted with the Beauty for a Cure logo. These wristbands are ideal accessories for any and every breast cancer program, and can also be offered for sale for separate breast cancer fundraising efforts.
