Charity: DePasquale Spa and Artistic Academy Donate $20,000 for Hurricane Relief

DePasquale Companies have always made it their mission to give back to the community. With the devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy seven months ago, Justin DePasquale, Co-Owner of DePasquale Spa and Darlene Fox, Artistic Academy Director presented acheck in the amount of $20,000.00 to New Jersey Lieutenant Governor Kim Guadagno during an event honoring Assembly Woman BettyLou DeCroce on Tuesday, May 21 at the Birchwood Manor in Whippany, New Jersey.

“Helping others in need always brings out the best in people,” said Fox.  “The community spirit our student body has is contagious.”

“This is such a wonderful, unselfish gift by the staff and students to help with our rebuilding efforts due to the devastation from Hurricane Sandy,” said DeCroce. It’s this type of “Jersey takes care of its own” spirit that makes our state so great.”

The money was raised on April 24, 2013 when students and staff entertained over 400 guests and provided services during a 12-hour event from 9 A.M. to 9 P.M. at the Artistic Academy.  Classrooms were creatively decorated and named by themes, such as “Let’s Play Footsies” for spa pedicures; “All Hands on Deck” for gel and spa manicures with paraffin and “Roots Ain’t Cute” for color touch ups.  Guests also enjoyed raffle drawings and a student bake sale.

“We are very proud of our staff and students.  Their helpful and positive attitudes made everything work well.  Our heartfelt thanks go out to all the families who participated,” said Justin DePasquale, co-owner of DePasquale, The Spa.
