The Hair Community Mourns Jesus Guerrero

Celebrity hairstylist Jesus Guerrero passed away suddenly and unexpectedly, his family announced this past weekend. The stylist was known for his kindness and incredible artistry.

The hair community mourns the loss of celebrity hairstylist Jesus Guerrero (@jesushair), who suddenly and unexpectedly passed away. Guerrero’s family confirmed his passing in a statement posted to Instagram stories on Sunday, Feb. 23.

"Our family would like to thank everyone for all the love and support during this hard time,” the statement said. “Jesus was the brightest light. We have never doubted that he touched the hearts and lives of everyone he came across. We have fallen into tears repeatedly reminiscing and wondering what we could of done different to still have him with us.”

Throughout his career, Guerrero has crafted stunning looks for an impressive roster of clients, including Kylie Jenner, Jennifer Lopez, Demi Moore, Charli XCX and many more. His alluring color and styling work has been showcased at high-profile events, such as red carpets, fashion shows and talk shows. He recently styled singer-songwriter Kali Uchis’ hair for the Grammy Awards.

Guerrero’s artistry has also graced the covers of prestigious magazines like Elle, Interview, 032c and POP. In addition, he has partnered with leading hair brands such as John Frieda, Goldwell, VARIS and OGX Beauty. He was represented by the Wall Group.

Outside of his talent as a hair artist, those who knew Guerrero share that he had a magnetic presence, making everyone in his life feel beautiful and loved. He was also known for his generosity and warmth, helping build community in the industry and empower other professionals. He leaves behind a legacy of both talent and love.
