Last Friday, I was honored to join Joico at the Gavert Atelier salon in Beverly Hills, California, for the company's "Beauty for a Cure" event. (Psst: Beauty for a Cure is Joico's partnership with City of Hope to raise funds for breast cancer research--last year, Joico salons raised $1.2-million!) The salon soiree saw the likes of stars such as reality TV vets Karina Smirnoff, Kyle Richards and Lisa Vanderpump, as well as Footloose's Ziah Colon. Also present at the event: pink candy and Voli Light Vodka pink cocktails (and as this LP editor kept hearing all day-long, "Beauty combined with sweets and drinks? What could be better!"). Add in giving to a beautiful cause, and we couldn't agree more.
