Over the past year, Sally Beauty has focused on strengthening and cultivating deeper, more meaningful connections with its core communities through their Rooted in Success initiative, a multi-faceted event series designed to foster connections and celebrate culture. This year, in celebration of Black History Month and Women’s History Month, the retailer is furthering this commitment with new efforts that continue to reach and impact women within the textured hair community and specifically HBCU students, directly.
Black Girls Matter Meetup Tour
Sally Beauty is proud to sponsor and serve as the exclusive beauty retailer for Impressions of Beauty's Black Girls Matter Meetup Tour throughout Black History Month and Women's History Month. Impressions of Beauty is the authority in multicultural marketing and is known for connecting students with brands.
The Black Girls Matter Meetup Tour is a unique on-campus experience that celebrates and empowers Historically Black College and University (HBCUs) students. This inspiring event series will travel to nine HBCU campuses across the Southeast throughout February and March, offering young Black female students a space for inspiration, empowerment and growth.
Ambassadors will canvas all nine HBCU campuses, handing out free product and gift cards for access to the latest textured hair products available at Sally Beauty.
Six campuses will host vibrant brunches for all local students to engage in expert-led panel discussions, participate in product demos and gift card giveaways and connect with industry leaders from Black-owned or founded brands at Sally Beauty, including Camille Rose Naturals, The Doux, Design Essentials, Shea Moisture, Carol’s Daughter and TPH By Taraji.
You can register for the event on Impressions of Beauty's website.
