In the second episode of Hairdustry's collaborative podcast with Beauty Launchpad, hairstylist Daniel Mason Jones dives into why mental health is essential for hairstylists to serve their clients authentically.

In case you missed it, Beauty Launchpad is kicking off 2025 in a big way! We've teamed up with Hairdustry for a collaborative podcast that puts a spotlight on the pioneers and innovators in the hair and beauty industry, celebrating their achievements and initiatives that help the industry grow and thrive.

For our first batch of episodes, to match the theming of our January/February issue, we're focusing on wellness — because we know that taking care of YOU is the key to maintaining a vibrant career in the hair industry.

There's also nobody who knows this better than hairstylist and educator Daniel Mason-Jones (@danielmasonjones). He has teamed up with L'Oréal Professionnel Paris, in partnership with the non-profit organization NAMI, to co-develop HeadUp, a free global mental health training program to raise awareness of the mental health challenges facing hairstylists and provide them with free mental health resources.

To learn more about this initiative and what inspired Mason-Jones to get involved, we decided to bring him on to the podcast! If you've been feeling drained after long days behind the chair and are looking for tools to balance your wellness. you're going to want to give this episode a listen!
