Today, you will get to know Sierra Adam (@balayagegod). She is a 29-year-old stylist at Hera the Salon in El Cajon, California.
Q&A:
Beauty Launchpad (BLP): What is a fun fact about you?
Sierra Adam (SA): I have traveled to several foreign countries alone.
BLP: What is your proudest accomplishment?
SA: I have backpacked the John Muir Trail (211 miles) three times and climbed Mount Whitney five times.
BLP: What is your current favorite hair trend?
SA: Lived in Color – I love the low maintenance, which allows me to take more clients and bigger projects. For the clients, it grows out nicely, and they aren't in a rush to get in.
BLP: What is a hair tip you have for your fellow stylists?
SA: Always under promise and over deliver, and a thorough consultation is key. Also, continued education will elevate your career.
BLP: What do you love about your work?
SA: I love the human interaction and giving the client a safe space where they don't feel judged and leave feeling better than when they sat down.
BLP: What motivates you about the industry you are in?
SA: There is always room to grow, and this industry gives back as much as you put in.
BLP: What is a professional goal you have for yourself?
SA: To be an ambassador or work with Schwarzkopf USA.
