Sport Clips Haircuts is seeking currently enrolled cosmetology students to enter its "Battle of the Hair: Student Edition" competition. (February 2022)
"The 'Battle of the Hair' competition reflects the good-natured rivalry true to a sports-themed hair care franchise, and our team is frequently impressed by the creativity and determination these students put on display each year," says Mary Burlingame, future professional talent specialist for Sport Clips. "Graduation is one of the most exciting times for these stylists and professionals in our industry as they prepare to launch their careers, and Sport Clips is honored to be considered a top employer of choice for many of them."
To enter the competition, students must be currently enrolled in a cosmetology or barbering school between the dates of January 3-February 25, 2022.
Student competitors must select a male model, create an original haircut and submit before and after images to be judged by a panel of haircare experts.
The six finalists could win a trip to Sport Clips' National Huddle in Nashville, Tennessee, where they will compete for a $5k scholarship, prize pack worth $2,500 and a private class from one of the vendors at the Huddle.
Winners will be announced February 28, 2022.
