Malibu C Named Official Hair Care of USA Water Polo

There’s no question that USA Olympic Water Polo players are among the country’s top athletes, aquatic or otherwise. Unfortunately, even the most talented athletes aren’t immune to the effects of extended hours in the pool: dry hair that’s discolored, brittle, flaky and irritated. “Hair care is a critical concern for aquatic sport athletes, including water polo players,” said USA Water Polo CMO, Jen Rottenberg. “Signing Malibu C for the second straight year as the official hair care provider of all US Water Polo players made sense,” Rottenberg continued. "We are very excited to be working again with such a dedicated, health-based beauty company.”

Rich with freshly activated Vitamin C and phyto-nutrients, Malibu C transforms hair from dry, damaged and discolored to vibrant, moisture-rich locks that shine with health and movement. For polo players “Constant exposure to pool chemicals like hard water minerals and chlorine, combined with lots of sun, creates unsightly hair conditions that many believe require harsh chemicals to normalize,” attests Tom Porter, founder and president of Malibu. “We are proud to offer 100% vegan treatments that are safe for daily use and which will keep USA Water Polo players’ hair functioning at peak performance—no chemicals required.”

As part of the sponsorship, Malibu C will offer both Men’s and Women’s teams with hair-helping products and educational opportunities related to improved hair care. In addition, a percentage of the profits will go back to the National Team programs. Consumers will have the option of allocating the proceeds of their purchases to either the Men’s or Women’s National Team, or, alternatively, to the USA Water Polo General Fund.
