Backstage Beauty: Roberto Cavalli Fall 2012

Redken Creative Consulatant Guido created a matte, textured hairstyle that complemented the dark makeup and exotic prints and leathers in the Fall 2012 Roberto Cavalli collection. He styled hair to be simple yet sexy.

“For Cavalli, the girls all have very long hair,  and it’s a little bit hippie-inspired, and of course, very sexy.  The hair is very simple and very real. The clothing is very dark in color, and add in the leather gloves and [makeup artist] Pat’s eye, the look is almost Gothic.  Also, the length makes it dramatic but what I tried to do was not pump any kind of real wave into the hair, keeping it very cool, very glamorous. I didn’t want to over-style the hair.”
