For a recent event, the 30th Annual Night of Stars in New York City, stylists and makeup artists for White Sands Haircare gave Taylor Schilling, star of the TV Series, Orange is the New Black, a glamourous, feminine look.
The Hair:
Celebrity stylist Ryan Trygstad gives the how to: "First, we prepped the hair with Tigi Bed Head Superstar Queen for a Day Thickening Spray to add lift at the root. Then, I blow-dried her hair with a small round rush to add soft wave and volume. Then, I added her custom hairpiece, WIGSTAD, created by me, then curled her entire head with a 1 1/4" size curling iron. I chose the large iron to add a soft wave not a curl. I wanted a soft, more elegant movement. Then, I finished the look by spraying with a hairspray like White Sands Infinity Finishing Spray and Sally Hershberger Smooth Fix Shine Spray."
The Makeup:
"Taylor's black and white floral dress was feminine and sexy and I wanted the makeup to have the same effect. We went for glowing skin, fluttery lashes and a deep pop of color on the lip," reveals celebrity makeup artist, Gita Bass.
Skin: "I prepped her skin with Simple Protecting Light Moisturizer and added a few drops of Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer in Medium 2 for a flawless finish. To add a bronze glow, I dusted her skin with Chanel Les Beiges in 30 and added Chanel Joues Contraste Powder Blush in Rose Petale on the apples of her cheeks for a romantic flushed cheek."
Eyes: "I applied Chanel Illusion D'ombre cream shadow in Emerveille on the lids and blended with my finger. I then lined the top lash line with Makeup Forever Aqua Eyes in Matte Brown and smudged with a soft brush. I applied a few coats of YSL Volume Effet Faux Cils Mascara and added a few Ardell Knot Free individual lashes on the outer corners."
Lips: "For a gorgeous deep berry lip I used Tom Ford lipstick in Black Orchid."
