An Artful Enviornment: Le Mieux Cosmetics Opens New Bielle Institute

Recently, Le Mieux Cosmetics opened the all new Bielle Institute, a two-story, 5,000 square foot showroom and training center in Pasadena, California. Janel Luu, CEO of Le Mieux Cosmetics expressed how the company's "audience has… grown over the past few years," and her belief that "it was time to establish a formal environment in which to share knowledge about Le Mieux products, ingredients and facial techniques."

Le Mieux Cosmetics is known for its unique take on anti-aging skin care, offering customers undiluted serums, creams and masks. The new Bielle Institute will serve as a relaxed setting in which estheticians can learn about the company's professional anti-aging products and how to integrate them with various devices and facial techniques.

The beautiful, spacious building contains two full floors for training. On the upper floor, one can find a large Training/Seminar Room, conference room, kitchen, and two facial rooms outfitted with various devices including an ultrasonic facial machine by Bellaire Industry and a radio frequency machine by Baby Quasar, as well as hydraulic facial beds designed for use during facial training courses. On the lower floor, there is a striking Grand Lobby, complete with high ceilings and surrounded by custom shelving decorated with various Le Mieux products. The entire interior of the Bielle Institute has a tone of relaxation and minimalism, "featuring luxurious… contemporary decor."

The Bielle Institute was renovated by Bonarch Architecture's Jesse Bornstein, who helped to convert the building from an old manufacturing warehouse to the airy, modern, Zen-inspired product showroom and esthetics training center that exists today. The original structure depended on a heavy amount of artificial lighting, which was altered to allow an abundance of soft, natural light to filter through frosted glass for a more elegant, relaxing feel. Large windows were installed, including one immense pane that spans an entire wall of the downstairs area, allowing streams of sunlight to brighten the Grand Lobby. To add to the sunlit, luxurious feel of this entryway, ceiling mirrors, complete with two sparkling, glass chandeliers were added in the main room. The overall effect is stunning yet relaxed, a tone that permeates the Bielle Institute as a whole.

Luu enlisted the help of Objekt Design's Cee Atcheson to craft a chic, sophisticated color palette, revolving around various shades of earthy browns, cool greys and bright white. Oversized, earth-toned leather armchairs invite guests to sit comfortably in the Lobby, while brown leather-covered chairs populate the Training Room. What is ultimately created is a polished, yet welcoming atmosphere for estheticians to learn Le Mieux Cosmetic's unique methods.

Recent, past and upcoming trainings at the Bielle Institute include topics such as: peels, the Gua Sha and Meridian facial techniques, custom blending serums, face lifting and re-contouring, expanding business and integrating Eastern and Western facial practices.
