NYFW Makeup How To: Brian Lichtenberg S/S 2014

Debuting for the first time at New York Fashion Week, American designer Brian Lichtenberg teamed up with Kryolan Professional Make-up for the debut of his Spring/Summer 2014 Collection. The 24-look collection fused upscale street sensibility and luxury accents, while giving a nod to a punk rock chic aesthetic with Parisian flair.

Kryolan’s key makeup artist, Jacob Makeup, created a retro look with a modern twist to accompany this street wear luxury line.

Palette is applied under the cheek bones to create a nice hollow and define the bone structure, while a skin-toned concealer was used to give the lid a clean fresh appearance. Then, sultry Black Shadow from the V3 Natural Palette was blended in a rounded shape from the inner corner of the eye through the crease of the eye and swooped below it following under the lash line. To make the eyes pop, the edges of the black were softened with a bruised purple tone, RB40 from the V2 Bright Palette.  Kryolan’s Contour Pencil in 970 White is applied next on the inner rim gave sharp contrast to the black to really make the eyes stand out. The eyes are finished off with layers of Black Mascara on top and bottom.

Finally, Lip Gloss was applied to add shine and a "dewy" look to the skin by pressing it into the cheek bones and the apples of the cheeks.  Lastly, the look was finished by layering Mandarin and SM, a red shadow from the V2 Bright Palette, onto the lips for a strong, beautiful and bold look.
