Named by Redbook as one of its Most Valuable Products (MVP) for 2011, the Brazilian Heat After Dark Professional 1900 Watt AC Motor Dryer is in the spotlight yet again.

Redbook editors gathered a panel of industry professionals to single out the most “effective, brilliant, ingenious” new beauty products. They hosted a testing party at their New York offices as well as sent product home with each to use in a more realistic environment. The After Dark dryer came out on top by being “powerful, lightweight and easy to hold with stronger heat than a cheapie.”
The May issue of Redbook features the MVP award winners, all of which will come together in New York on May 3 for a special breakfast hosted by guest judge Camila Alves.
This accolade for the dryer comes on the heels of mentions in Elle and InStyle Hair while its counterpart, the Brazilian Heat After Dark 1” Professional Straightening Iron, was named best flat iron by Essence magazine in its 2011 Beauty Awards.
In addition, its sister brand Brazilian Heat has also received its fair share of recognition: Life & Style named the 1” Tourmaline Ceramic Flat Iron as the best fast-acting flat iron in its 2010 Beauty Awards. ABC-TV’s The View featured its best beauty product round-up for 2010 and the Tourmaline Ceramic Curling Irons were included.
