The Kenzo runway at Paris AW 2013 radiated pure "cool," thanks to the vision and efforts of Anthony Turner, lead stylist for Moroccanoil.
“The inspiration for the look came from my favorite type of girl who lives in east London, the downtown area full of artists and designers - she has a youthful look with a cool vibe,” explained Lead Stylist Anthony Turner for Moroccanoil. “The idea was to do a swooping fringe in the front and the rest of the hair would be undone and carefree, almost androgynous. Instead of a pretty look, overall, I wanted the look to convey a confident attitude and mystery, while the matte texture of the hair played into the collection’s inspiration from India.
"I started by doing a side part in the hair, and drew a triangle from the side part to the opposite ear to create the fringe in the front. I tucked the fringe behind the ear, but allowed the fringe to be loose and fall slightly across the forehead.
“Once I tucked, I applied Moroccanoil Curl Control Mousse to the fringe to create a lived-in texture with natural hold. I then blow-dried all of the hair using just my fingers for a natural carefree look.
“Once I finished styling the fringe, I used Moroccanoil Intense Curl Cream on the rest of the hair to add more texture and increase the natural wave of the hair. I then separated the hair with my fingers to achieve a natural result.
“I finished the look by using Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray Strong to ensure that everything stayed in place.”
