The Joico Beauty for a Cure Team, headed by senior vice president and general manager Sara Jones, took to the streets of Los Angeles to partake in the eighth annual City of Hope Walk for Hope. The 5k walk is aimed at raising awareness as well as necessary funds for one of the country’s leading facilities for cancer research and treatment. The Joico team alone raised more than $8,000.
Joico has been a supporter of City of Hope for many years, and Jones has been awarded with the 2011 City Of Hope Spirit of Life Award. Jones announced that proceeds from the Spirit of Life Award Dinner, which takes place next July, will be set aside and donated to the cause of women’s cancer research and care.
