Be Cool

Cool-headed blondes have way more fun! Formulated with Neutra B technology to help absorb warmth for enhanced, ultracool results, L’Oréal Professionnel Majiblond hi.B permanent crème haircolor comes in nine shades that help reinforce tresses from the inside out.

Keep It Clean

Two new aprons have hit the market to keep your clothes free from errant color. Treated with Teflon to resist stains, water and wrinkles, André Apron #8177 is extra long at 43 inches, features two patch pockets and comes in three colors: ruby, silver and blue (shown). Look pretty in pink with the Cricket Cover Up Pink Metro, which has multisized pockets and a 6-inch Velcro neck closure. Bonus! A portion of the proceeds will be donated to breast cancer awareness.

In Living Colour

Three years in the making, TIGI Colour fuses the shades associated with high fashion with innovative technology to give you endless creative freedom. The five color categories—Creative, Radiant Gloss, Ultra Lift, Mix Master and True Light—are infused with Penetration Delayed Oxidation Technology to ensure that oxidation only occurs after pigment has penetrated the shaft; TIGI Complex to improve the condition of strands and scalp; and allergen-free, ammonia-masking fragrances.

Getting an Edge

Want to lift her color up to seven shades while neutralizing unflattering brassy overtones? Color Edge Lightener promises to do just that. The fruitscented, extremely concentrated powder completely adheres to the hair shaft, yet is gentle enough to be used on and off the scalp.

Red Alert

Now’s the time to be in the red! Goldwell introduces Topchic Max Reds, six vibrant crimson shades, complete with RAYMAX technology, that promise top results with improved color stability and excellent durability. Available in warm to cool shades of Coral Glow, Sunset, Hot Chili, Red Pepper, Violet Rose and Cool Tulip.

To Market, To Market

Sure, you know that the products are so good they should sell themselves, but a little creative placement certainly doesn’t hurt! Hence, the John Paul Mitchell Systems 2007 Color Marketing Contest, which encouraged salons across the U.S. and Canada to showcase their haircolor marketing success. And, boy, did they ever! Salons sent in photos of their Color Bar, press mentions and related in-salon marketing materials, not to mention notes on how much their services have increased.

But while hundreds entered, only three could win the coveted first-place prize. Without further ado, we proudly salute the winners:
