Backstage Beauty: Houghton Fall 2012

L’Oréal Professionnel Master Session Artist, Laura Polko, created three looks for the Houghton Fall 2012 presentation at New York Fashion Week. Romantic curls dramatically parted to one side were the perfect complement to the fluid textures in the winter white collection by designer Katharine Polk. Variations of this style included curls left loose or twisted into a low bun then either gently tucked or slicked behind the left ear.

To achieve the style, Polko used L'Oréal Professionnel Mousse Volupté to prep the hair and magnify volume before blow-drying and setting small sections with a curling iron. L'Oréal Professionnel Lumi Controle was used to create the defined left-side part –a modern interpretation of the look made famous by old-Hollywood.
