April 22 is Earth Day. First held in April 1970, Earth Day demonstrates support for environmental protection.
As a hairstylist and/or salon owner, there are many small steps you can take daily to keep your workspace eco-friendly and help the planet. If you’re struggling to figure out how you can be more green, we asked our Instagram followers for their advice on how they keep their salon environmentally friendly, and they shared their responses. @bleachorexic: The salon I am at @harlowsalonaustin was the first salon in Austin, TX to use @greencirclesalons.
@color.mekatie: I recycle all my plastic or cardboard color tube boxes.
@sherrilinderman: I measure to a T with my products, use organic based vegan colors and products and use Earth Breeze for laundry. I do what I can.
