JPMS Unveils $4 Million Stimulus Plan and Multi-Pronged Approach To Help Hairdressers

Paul Mitchell

On behalf of hairdressers worldwide, John Paul Mitchell Systems (JPMS) co-owners John Paul DeJoria and Angus Mitchell, alongside vice chairman Michaeline DeJoria and chief operating officer Jason Yates, have committed to helping hairdressers in every way they possibly can. "During this most difficult and challenging time in our world and our industry, John Paul Mitchell Systems wants to make sure you know that you, our salon partners, are at the heart of everything that we do," say Michaeline DeJoria and Yates. "In fact, everything we do begins with the question, 'How will this benefit our salon partners?' With that, we have shifted our focus for 2020 to be that of rebuilding our industry and supporting our most valuable partners—you."

$4 Million JPMS Salon Jumpstart Stimulus Package
First off, the company had planned on holding their signature event, Gathering, in Las Vegas later this year, but decided to reallocate resources and monies to assist their salon partners. Therefore the team has committed nearly $4 million to build a stimulus package that will support hairdressers in areas they will need most. The JPMS Salon Jumpstart Stimulus package and programs will include free hair color, free backbar, enhanced education and digital support and more. JPMS will partner with salons and their distributor partners on terms to help rebuild cashflow reserves to aid our partners back into business as quickly and easily as possible. Be sure to check out Paul Mitchell social media channels over the next several weeks as they share more information about how to qualify for the JPMS Salon Jumpstart Stimulus package and other digital programs. We will update you with more information as it becomes available.

Free Education Throughout April
As part of its commitment to helping the hairdressing community, JPMS has also created a monthlong curriculum of free education. Viewers can tune-in to @PaulMitchellPro on Instagram or @PaulMitchellHairCare on Facebook to engage in non-stop education with JPMS business coaches, artistic directors, international trainers and national educators doing what they do best: providing inspirational stories, business building ideas and artistic inspiration to help prepare everyone to come back stronger than ever. Each week is centered around a different theme, such as Creating Connections and Community, and delves into education across barbering, cut, style, business and color. Beginning this week is Self Motivation. Visit http://paulmitchellpro.com/covid19-resources.php for more information.

Manufacturing Hand Sanitizer to Donate to High-Need Groups
Additionally, JPMS received approval to manufacture more than 20,000 units of an 80% alcohol spray formula, which will be donated to high-need groups who are facing shortages, such as Southern California medical facilities, frontline medical professionals and police officers, as well as low-income families with young children.
