Spring is officially here, which means it's time for spring hair trends to make their debut!
This season, overly styled hair will take the backseat while easy-to-achieve, lived-in texture and breezy bobs have their moment, according to UNITE Hair.
Here, we break down five trending styles you can expect your clients to be asking for this season as well as expert advice for how to bring the looks to life using products from UNITE.
Baroque Bobs
If your client's Pinterest board is flooded with old money aesthetic, this one’s for them! The Baroque Bob is the quintessential hairstyle of quiet luxury.
Elsa Hosk (@hoskelsa) is the latest it-girl to own the look and we got the 411 from her stylist Ricky Mota (@rickymotahair) on how he achieved the supermodel’s bouncy mane.
On damp hair, Ricky used UNITE EXPANDA Volume, a targeted volumizing spray foam that adds lift, volume and hold directly to the root. This root lifting styling spray is ideal for fine or lifeless hair and provides a medium to strong hold for all day hold. To finish, Ricky used the cult-favorite TEXTURIZA Spray all over on the finished style to add instant volume, fullness and definition.
Air-Dried Texture
Warmer months are on the horizon, which means air-dried styling is back. If you’re looking to achieve that fresh-from-the-beach, tousled texture, take it from natural hair guru Leore Hayon (@thegirlhabit).
To define her curls, Leore uses UNITE BEACH Day, a natural sea salt spray formulated to deliver effortless, beachy, lived-in definition. Its paraben-free formula contains natural sea salt to add texture and thickness, Moringa seed extract to protect and plant-based moisturizers to help with wave and curl retention. The best part? It can be used on wet or dry hair, making it easy to achieve the look no matter your wash schedule.
Glossy Kinks
As we inch closer to summer, mermaid waves and lived-in texture will once again reign supreme. The key to nailing the look is to keep it relaxed while accentuating the texture and definition with a healthy dose of shine.
To prep TikTok vet Kensington’s (@kensnation) strands, celebrity hairstylist Mary Kendall (@marykendallll) used 7SECONDS Detangler and 7SECONDS BlowOut Creme for moisture and thermal protection before blow drying. Once the hair was dry, Mary then applied the coconut and organic Hawaiian white honey-infused SMOOTH&SHINE Styling Cream to tame frizz followed by 7SECONDS Glossing Spray for a double dose of shine. She then waved the hair and finished the look by adding a small amount of U Oil to the ends and TEXTURIZA Spray for piecey-ness.
Blunt Bobs
The classic bob continues to receive a stamp of approval from celebrities and beauty enthusiasts, proving the style is here to stay.
“There is something so powerful about a woman who can rock such a sleek look,” says celebrity hairstylist Shenise Sheena (@shenisesheena_beauty) who recently styled the look for model Carmella Rose (@carmellarose) in Milan for Fashion Week. “I think a sleek, shiny hairstyle like this is a must-try for the upcoming season because it exudes confidence.”
To get the look, Shenise prepped Carmella’s short strands with 7SECONDS Detangler for a tangle-free base and finished by generously spraying 7SECONDS Glossing Spray to tame flyaways while adding a long-lasting, high shine.
Big Updos
The ‘Mob Wife’ aesthetic is here to stay. This spring, we’re loving big, bold hairstyles with texture and movement.
“I always love doing this look because it gives me all the ‘90s feels and you can dress it up or down,” says pro stylist Danny Newsham (@dannynewsham). “You can achieve this look on clean or dirty hair.”
To get the look, Danny used 7SECONDS Detangler to prep and protect, 7SECONDS Glossing Spray for thermal protection and high-shine and finished with the adjustable-strength, non-flaking GO365 Hairspray for flexible hold and to tame flyaways.
