The Inspiration: “We didn’t want the hair to compete with the clothing,” says Cruz. “We wanted a smarter silhouette, but for the back of the hair to kind of explode into more of a natural texture. It’s almost like an ombré effect, from top to bottom—a bit smaller to a bit more open and looser.”
The Hero Products: Kevin.Murphy Session.Spray Strong Hold Finishing Spray and Doo.Over Dry Powder Finishing Spray. “The Doo.Over gives us a really airy, soft texture for the back of the hair while Session.Spray on the front gives us this sleek, shiny and tight finish,” says Cruz.
