Aveda’s new 100% vegan formulated Speed of Light Blow Dry Accelerator Spray serves as a blow dry primer that contains a mix of coconut, sugar beets and corn to aid in detangling hair and sealing the cuticle for a quicker dry time. The primer also protects from excessive heat, providing smooth, static free hair.
“It was really important to us to take a more natural approach to this product. It took several months of research to determine the best combination of ingredients and maintain a highly naturally derived formula that would deliver high performance results,” explained Aveda Executive Director of Global Hair Care Formulation, Anita Grahn. “We chose to use lactic acid from sugar beets to lower the pH of hair, which also flattens the hair cuticle. (Hair with a higher pH tends to swell and is more prone to frizz and tangling.) By helping to seal the cuticle, it helps to separate hair strands, increasing the airflow around the strands which results in decreased blow dry time.”
How to Use:
Shake well. Separate clean, towel-dried hair into 4 sections and spray each part until saturated. Comb through and blow dry hair.
