A proper hair care routine is essential for maintaining gorgeous, healthy locks of hair. However, everyone's routine differs depending upon what goals they want to accomplish with their hair, and the products they use to achieve said goals will differ too. With the industry looking to become more inclusive of different hair types and textures, we're seeing more products than ever before to cater to every type of hair care routine.
Shampoo is always a must on hair-wash days, but we've noticed a change in the industry as to whether people reach for conditioner or a hair mask. Blake Lively recently shared her choice in an interview with Vogue, saying, “I don't know anyone who uses conditioner in my industry.” She has echoed that sentiment into her new hair care line Blake Brown, which quite notably does not offer a traditional conditioner in the lineup, but rather, sells its Nourishing and Strengthening masks that can easily be incorporated into any shower.
This choice made us curious as to which post-shampoo option our pros tend to opt for more frequently: conditioner or a hair mask. They let us know, and you can see the results of the poll below.
