As a hair professional, your stream of income doesn't have to be limited to the cut, color, styling or hair care services you offer in your chair. There's multiple ways to branch out and make extra money behind the chair. With the start of the holiday season rapidly approaching, now may be the time to get savvy with your offerings as your clients book their appointments. One option is to offer retail.
As a salon professional, you know the best products to recommend to your clients to care for their hair and maintain its appearance in-between salon visit, so why not offer those options to them directly? Recently, many clients have been searching for hair care options at large or online retailers, thinking they will get those offerings for a cheaper rate. As a result, salons are losing revenue, and many professionals are rethinking offering retail to their clients. SalonInteractive recently launched an initiative to change this, called the Beauty Retail Revolution. The launch of this initiative had us wondering how our audience is fairing at selling retail to their clients.
So, we asked our followers in a poll posted to our website and Instagram stories (@beautylaunchpad) if they are struggling to sell retail to their clients. They shared their responses with us, and you can see the results of the poll below.
Stay tuned for more polls from us each Tuesday, and make sure you cast your vote.
