The top trending beauty hashtag for July is #stitchbraids, according to Dash Hudson. With festival season in full swing, braids are becoming a popular style, with Sutra Beauty's and our 30 Over 30 winner Stefania Glamour sharing her tutorial for festival braids in our May/June issue.
Stitch braids, in particular, are a protective style created using a feed-in technique, where extensions are added to a client's natural hair as you braid. To craft a stitch braid, you section the hair into thick or thin horizontal lines, then braid the natural hair with the hair extensions. This style can protect and support natural hair, making it less prone to breakage and thus promoting hair strength.
