Olympian Aly Raisman debuted her new, balayaged brunette look last night at the Country Music Association Awards. Matrix Celebrity Hairstylist George Papanikolas, who created the color, used the new Matrix BOND Ultim8 Bond Protecting System to maintain Aly’s hair’s integrity during the color processing.
“[Aly] wanted to remain brunette, but make it more interesting. The color still looks very natural but pops!” says Papanikolas. “For brunettes, I take a very strategic approach — only focusing around the face frame, natural part and accenting the ends. This keeps the overall foundation of the color brunette but enhances it with soft accents. For Aly specifically, we accented with soft caramel balayage highlights to compliment her natural base and skin tone.”
