Hairstyles How To: Debra Messing at the 2013 Golden Globes

Ted Gibson talks about styling Debra Messing for the 2013 Golden Globes:

Debra’s look was inspired by the look I created for Rachel Roy’s Spring 2013 show. I wanted her face to be the focus. Pulling the hair straight back created a sophisticated do and an easy elegance to showcase her beautiful face, jewelry and dress. To get this look, spray build it blow drying agent throughout the hair to add texture, blow dry the hair, then flat iron straight. Next gather hair into a ponytail in the middle of you head using a bungee. Take a small piece of the hair from the pony and wrap it around the bungee, then secure with pins. Pull some of the hair from the top of your head to mess it up a bit – you don’t want it to look too smooth or contrived. Finish with beautiful hold hairspray to hold everything in place.
