Tracey Sameyah, a dynamic innovator in the sphere of professional skin care branding, has joined Dermalogica as new General Manager for the U.S. Bringing more than 25 years of expertise to her new post, she will serve as part of the core team operating from the company’s headquarters in Carson, California.
Sameyah’s 2013 strategy for the brand builds upon two pillars: ongoing education and support for the Professional Skin Therapist, and the expansion of Dermalogica into new professional segments. This year, Dermalogica’s innovative approach to professional training will include more digital elements with a state-of-the-art website (dermalinstitute.com), webisodes and other advanced online technologies.
She will spearhead Dermalogica’s most unique branding initiative for 2013: the company’s new hybrid-concept immersive learning spaces. These dynamic branded environments bring together the pillars that have defined the brand for more than 25 years: hands-on skin care education, professional consultation, and brand-accessibility. The spaces will feature “transparent” classrooms, where shoppers may view skin therapists as they practice new skills, and retail areas that integrate Dermalogica’s exclusive Skin Bar and MicroZone treatment features. The first, 2,600-square foot immersive learning concept space opened recently in Scottsdale, AZ, with several more U.S. locations planned for 2013.
“Dermalogica continues to lead the industry forward with this new concept,” Sameyah remarks. “Our new immersive learning spaces will empower our accounts more than ever, and will be environments where our accounts may learn more about merchandising, marketing and business strategies, retailing, event-planning and more. This passionate dedication to the success of the skin care professional is why I am so honored to join the Dermalogica team.”
