And the gold goes to…Great Britain and China! The drama was high and the talent even higher at Wella Professionals’ International Trend Vision Awards (ITVA), held last night in New York City. Great Britain’s HOB Salons took home the gold for the Young Talent segment, while China’s Di Qiu Cun (see the creation at left) snagged the gold for the Color segment. Though the judges awarded these huge talents the top honors, the people got to vote too! This year the ITVA invited fans to cast their votes online, and an astounding 60,000 cast their ballots worldwide. The People’s Choice for Young Talent went to Great Britain’s HOB Salons (two wins for the talented Brits!) and the People’s Choice Color went to Canada’s Salon Shyne. Congrats to all who participated, far and wide, and here’s to looking forward to next year’s 2012 ITVA! —Karie L. Frost
