They say blondes have more fun, but do they really?

We asked our Instagram followers for the blonde myths they’ve encountered, and they shared their responses.

@its.jessica.dBlonde hair gets greasy faster.

@jessilee_hairartist“My Highlights faded.” Have you ever had a blonde client call and say something like this? You bring them back in and all that work you’ve done looks dull and flat, like the highlights have disappeared. It’s actually buildup most likely caused by their water. Highlights don’t fade. 85% of the country has hard water. The calcium and magnesium from hard water leaves a cloudy white film on your shower walls and also on the hair. This causes the hair to look dull, darker and as if the highlights are gone. Simple solution is a purifying treatment to remove the minerals, and the blonde will instantly become bright again! Tadaaaa!!!

@dtstudio.est2019You can’t have healthy platinum blonde hair.

@kolorkulturemiamiMyth: Blondes are dumb. I have extremely smart blonde clients!!

@amber_rodriquez_beauty“I colored my hair dark after being blonde to make it healthy again.”
