José Eber Salon Opening Event: “Beverly Hills Royalty Joins Short Hills, New Jersey”

Jose Eber Interview

Short Hills, one of the wealthiest zipcodes in the nation, is now a little closer to glamour cousin Beverly Hills, now that José Eber’s first East Coast salon has come to town. The theme of Eber’s salon opening event was “Beverly Hills in Short Hills,” Beverly Hills being where Eber’s flagship is. This is José Eber’s first foray into the East Coast and the residents of New Jersey were there to welcome him in droves, with over 400 guests attending.

The salon interior is crisp, polished, sleek and clean. Lavish chandeliers hang from the ceilings, a grey and white motif carrying throughout. The counter-tops are a polished white that reflects off the skin, making everyone look more evenly toned. The lighting is bright and flattering. The size of the space is quite noticeable, it is L shaped with several small rooms branching out from the main floor.

José Eber’s salon incorporates a variety of options to get beautified, other than his signature take on hair. This includes a nail station, blow-dry bar, make-up, lash and hair extensions, waxing and a medi-spa. Eber has really built a one-stop shop for beauty. Additional amenities will include valet parking, professional cleaning and detailing car services, an exclusive customer loyalty program, text message confirmation and more. The salon carries Phyto products and of course, José’s hair styling tools.

Cocktails flowed throughout the night, with guests treated to alcohol by St. Germain, Prairie Vodka (no flavor or Cucumber Infused) and Macallan Scotch—there were even cigars for all the husbands in attendance. José, not being one to let his guests go hungry, made sure there was an elaborate sampling of Hors d’oeuvre’s. They ranged from fresh salmon and cream cheese cannolis, to beet spring rolls, miso lemongrass chicken pops and raspberry sorbet in a lipstick case that flew off the tray. There were also swag bags given out to guests, with travel-size products by Wella and Jose Eber.

Though José will be very hands-on in the Short Hills salon and visit often, nephew and mentee Yoav Tauberwill be the salon’s Creative Director, working six days a week. Yoav studied under Joséin Beverly Hills and says he learned everything from him. This is not the last salon opening we can expect from Eber, as told Beauty Launchpad that he is opening his next salon in Dubai this coming fall. If that one is anything like the one in New Jersey we can expect great things. Overall, it was a very successful opening and a beautiful event. We are looking forward to the continued success of the José Eber salon on the East Coast.
