The style incorporates sequins directly into the hair, creating a stunning effect that transforms the sequins into shimmering strands that reflect light and add radiant bounce to the hair.
“I wanted to offer my clients something beyond the trendy fairy tinsel hair that’s everywhere these days,” says Bee Sam. “I looked to the past for inspiration, knowing that sequins had a special touch of sparkle all their own. After extensive research and development, I created my own looping technique, allowing the sequins to be seamlessly integrated into the hair. With proper care, this method extends the life of the sequins for up to six weeks.”
For an added burst of sparkle, larger embellishments such as spangles, sequins or charms can be attached to the ends of the strands. Sequin hair is all about self-expression, with each look being uniquely individual. These shimmering strands turn ordinary hairstyles into stunning works of art, perfect for special occasions like weddings, parties, sporting events or music festivals. They’re designed to enhance any hairstyle with an extra touch of glamour.

Hair Tinsel—also known as Fairy Hair—is a fun and trendy way to add instant color and sparkle to your hair. This technique involves attaching thin, shimmering strands of iridescent glitter to your natural hair, creating a subtle yet eye-catching effect. The tinsel strands are secured either by tying them in or using a bead that clamps onto the hair for a long-lasting hold.
Sequin Hair Strands adds a touch of glamour by intertwining sequins into your hair using a special looping tool. The sequins are then secured with beads, creating a unique and festive look. For an extra pop of sparkle, decorative embellishments like larger spangles, sequins or charms can be added at the end of the strands.
Both hair tinsel and sequin hair offers a creative way to enhance your hairstyle with dazzling colors and shimmering details, making them perfect for parties, festivals or simply adding some sparkle to your everyday look.
Are there different Sequin Hair colors available?
When it comes to sequin hair, the color options are endless! From vibrant hues like green, purple and red to every shade in between, there’s a color to suit any style. Can’t decide on just one? You can choose multiple colors to create a personalized, eye-catching look. If you’re looking for something extra special, sparkly iridescent silver and gold options are also available.
In addition to the sequin colors, you can also choose from a variety of decorative embellishments like larger sequins, charms or spangles to add extra flair to the ends of your hair strands.
Where does the Sequin Hair get installed?
There are various options for installing sequin hair. Whether you prefer a single sequin placed underneath, several scattered throughout or just a section along one side, the possibilities are highly customizable. You can even create a headband effect by placing sequins on top. Sequin hair can be added to the full length of your strands or any desired length, with the flexibility to mix multiple lengths throughout. In addition to using micro beads, other extension methods like the fusion technique can also be used to attach sequin hair.
