How-To:

  1. Prep the hair with evo’s mister fantastic blowout spray to give the hair a bit of extra hold and control. Blow dry in sections with a round brush.
  2. Work a quarter-size amount of evo’s love perpetua shine drops through the hair to add glossiness, seal the cuticle and add humidity control.
  3. Part the hair down the middle and create two French braids from the top of the head down to the nape of the neck. Tie each braid off into a ponytail with a small elastic.
  4. Take your ribbon (the length will depend on the length of the hair, but you’ll need at least a few feet. You will cut off any excess later.) and begin threading it through the braids in a criss-cross pattern to form the “corset.”
  5. Once you’ve reached the bottom of the braids, wrap the ribbon several times around the base of the ponytails you created previously, joining them together. Tie the ribbon off, then create another regular braid down the rest of the hair and weave in the ribbon.
  6. Take the bottom of the braid and tuck it under itself to create the bun. Secure the bun with the rest of the ribbon, tie it off and trim any excess.
  7. Seal the style with a flexible hairspray like miss malleable
