The Inspiration: Hair as a rose garden. "In a rose garden, every rose is unique and different. The hair follows the idea: Each look is different, but with the common theme of sophisticated yet undone texture,” says Gilbert. “She’s a romantic princess emerging from the rose garden."

Using both barrels to vary wave sizes, Gilbert rotates the irons to build a solid foundation in which to weave the real roses.
