Get the Look: 5 Blake Lively Hairstyles

With the release of her new movie, Age of Adaline, just around the corner, Blake Lively relied on celebrity hairstylist Rod Ortega to create 5 nearly effortless, yet gorgeous, hair looks all in one day as she promoted the upcoming film. Going from talk shows to appearances to premieres afforded the new mom very little time for prep (sometimes no more than 5 minutes!), so Ortega relied on just two hair tools -- the T3 Whirl Trio Interchangeable Barrel Styling Wand and SinglePass X Flat Iron -- to create Blake's 5 beautiful looks.

Look 1: Daytime Loose Waves

twisted them up and wrapped into a circle on top of the head, securing with bobby pins.

Look 2: Sleek, Chic Ponytail

For a glamorous paparazzi moment, Ortega worked with Blake's previous style to give her a new, chic look as she left Good Morning America in a Roksanda Dress and Coat Set.

Get the Look:

  1. Using the same loose and "swirly" waves he created with the T3 Whirl Trio Interchangeable Barrel Styling Wand (see pg. 1), Ortega pulled the hair back into a low, deconstructed ponytail.
  2. He then smoothed the hair on top of the head down and secured the ponytail with an elastic.
  3. For additional texture, Ortega used the 1" barrel of the T3 Whirl Trio Interchangeable Barrel Styling Wand to create additional waves.
  4. To complete the look, he sprayed the entire head with hairspray.

Look 3: Chic Bodied Waves

Inspired by her Pepto-pink Cushnie et Ochs outfit, Ortega reshaped Blake's daytime waves for her appearance at Sirius XM Studios.

Get the Look:

  1. To reshape the tighter, daytime waves from earlier in the day (see pg. 1), Ortega used the 1.5" barrel of the T3 Whirl Trio Interchangeable Barrel Styling Wand.
  2. Taking big sections, Ortega wrapped the hair away from the face, creating larger, voluminous waves.
  3. To achieve a large amount of body, he curled all of the sections in the same direction.
  4. To finish, Ortega sprayed the entire head with hairspray.

Look 4: Straight and Sleek

Changing up the look entirely, Ortega gave Blake smooth, straight strands that perfectly complemented the understated coolness of her Antonio Berardi dress on The Tonight Show.

Get the Look:

  1. Starting with large-barreled waves (see pg. 3), Ortega sectioned the hair and used the T3 SinglePass X 1.5" Wide Flat Iron to straighten the hair, smoothing until sleek.
  2. To finish, he sprayed the entire head with hairspray.

Look 5: Half Up/Half Down

For one final look, Ortega was inspired by Blake's two-toned Balmain pants, creating a sleek, half up/half down look as the star left The Tonight Show.

Get the Look:

  1. To complete the look at The Tonight Show, Ortega used the straight hair from before the show (see pg. 4) and pulled back the top and side sections for a chic, 70's-inspired, half up/half down style.
  2. He sued the T3 SinglePass X 1.5" Wide Flat Iron to add more sleekness, and finished by spraying the entire head with hairspray.
