CELEBRATE: Sarah Michelle Gellar’s Full-Bodied Finish
Perfect for: The Neighborhood Open House
The pro says: “Slight contrast between the roots and the buttery highlights create a very polished, chic color effect,” says Sarah’s stylist, Joico Celebrity Spokesperson George Papanikolas.
George’s How-To: To create the color, perform a base break on the new growth in order to lift this area one level. Then apply balayage-style highlights with Joico VeroLift Crème Lightener to the rest of the hair, lifting them to pale blonde. To style, shampoo and condition with Joico K-PAK Color Therapy Shampoo and Conditioner and apply Joico K-PAK Color Therapy Restorative Styling Oil to damp hair. Apply Joico K-PAK Thermal Design Foam at roots, then comb through. Blow dry hair with a large round brush, leaving the crown area flat to the head. Once hair is dry, mist with Joico Smooth Cure Thermal Styling Protectant and use a 1 ¼ inch curling iron to curl the ends. Finish with Design Collection Texture Spray.
Pro tip: Texture spray adds body and “grip” to the texture so hair keeps its shape longer.
