Square has released advanced features for Square Messages, its AI-enabled platform that offers two-way SMS communication between salons and clients.

Square Messages consolidates client conversations in one place to help salons improve the customer experience and boost sales. 

Saumil Mehta, head of point of sale and e-commerce at Square, says, “Sellers continue to need powerful software that enables them to automate their business and meet the on-the-go needs of modern consumers. The latest features of Square Messages include:

    • Suggested Replies: AI suggests replies to businesses based on a customer’s message, helping boost a buyer’s reply rate by 10 percent.
    • Suggested Actions: AI gives businesses the ability to respond to buyers with one-click interactions, such as a prompt to send an invoice or payment link.
      • Social Media Integrations: Square is integrated with social media platforms to further bring customer correspondence into one place, saving sellers time and increasing sales.
        • Beauty and Barbershops: Square Messages helps to coordinate appointments and send photos back and forth with clients for accurate booking details, so stylists can book out appointment time appropriately.
