I'm a fan of taking pleasure in the little things: a rainy day spent cozied up to a good book; an icy cold margarita on a hot day; and, of course, a "just-for-the-hell-of-it" mani. Well, I got my wish and then some courtesy of Chi Nail Bar & Organic Spa in Beverly Hills where, in the true spirit of girliness, I indulged in their signature Rockstar Gel Manicure. The mani is a simple process of layering actual loose glitter in between coats of clear gel polish and curing in between, but the effect is beyond outstanding. My nails quite literally shined like diamonds for the duration of the two weeks the mani lasted. Chi offers a variety of glitter hues, but I opted for the of-the-season rose gold, which seemed to compliment just about anything in my wardrobe and actually looked downright elegant. So long, classy french tip!
In an economy where being frugal is becoming a must, it's good to know you brandish some bling every once in a while.
