Lea Michele's Smokey Eye

Makeup artist Melanie Inglessis shares her technique for achieving Lea Michele's smokey eye look for the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences' screening of Glee:

For Lea's look for the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences’ Screening of Glee, I wanted her to look fresh and fun to reflect the white beaded mini dress she was wearing. We had very little time to do this look so I worked fast and with my favorite product to do smokey eyes: the fat Khol pencils!

I started with Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Color in Smoke. I applied it like a thick liner, really near the lash line. It doesn't have to be perfect because I am blending it with a cream shadow. I chose Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Shadow in Smoky Topaz. I blended it with a little dome brush to create a soft smokey eye. I kept the color below the crease to keep it fun and light..and I also kept the inner corner of her eye bright. The same applies for the bottom.

I then curled Lea's amazing long lashes and applied a coat of black Lancôme Doll Lash, light foundation and peachy cream color on the apple of her cheek. Bobbi Brown lip and cheek cream pale pink was applied on her lip, which is a beautiful natural color with a hint of pink. Voila!
