Actress Taryn Manning, star of the show Orange is the New Black, recently debuted her new blonde look at the International Emmy Awards. Stylist Michael Dueñas, founder of Hair Room Service used Schwarzkopf Professional products to complete the dramatic transformation, while makeup artist James Vincent complimented the look with "glam rock" touches.
Get the Look: Blonde Bombshell
Says Dueñas, "To create Taryn Manning's blonde bombshell look, I used a crystal clear lightener and glossed it with a lilac toner. No Foils, just an all over application. I let it process for 30 minutes and then washed with BC FiberForce.
The haircut is horizontal graduation building into a square shape, using a razor.
I styled the hair using a 3/4inch curling iron. Prepping the hair first with OSiS Grip Mousse, then starting with horizontal sections at the nape, I rolled the hair one direction from the root to the midshaft, and then the opposite direction from midshaft to the ends. I changed directions on each section, so no two sections by each other where the same. This builds volume and a tousled, polished texture. Work from the nape all the way up to the parting, finishing the look with OSiS Elastic flexible hold hairspray."
