Breaking News: John Heffner named CEO of Drybar

Drybar is extremely pleased to announce the appointment of John Heffner as Chief Executive Officer. Co-Founder and current CEO Michael Landau will remain active in the company, serving as Executive Chairman of the Board.

Mr. Heffner was previously the President of OPI, a global leader in professional nail care. Prior to OPI, John was the President and CEO of CND. Heffner has also held a variety of positions at Unilever and Procter & Gamble. “What Alli, Michael and team have created is a truly transformational business.” said Heffner. “Their obsession with the customer experience, and their collective passion is unlike anything I have seen. These are but a few of the many reasons I am so excited and privileged to join this extraordinary family.”

“We could not be more thrilled to have John join our growing team,” said Michael Landau, “with almost 2,000 employees and approaching 40 locations, John’s leadership experience will be critical in taking Drybar to the next level of growth.” Since 2010 Drybar has expanded from 4 stores in Los Angles to 32 locations throughout California, New York, Texas, Arizona, Georgia, Massachusetts, and Washington, DC. Drybar also recently launched a line of styling products and tools sold exclusively at Sephora, QVC and Drybar locations.

“One of the many things that attracted us to John,” said Alli Webb, Drybar Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer, “is his experience nurturing and growing world-class consumer product companies, I am so excited to have John join our team.”

Drybar investors include Boston-based Castanea Partners (www.castaneapartners.com), Paul Pressler, former Chief Executive Officer of Gap, Inc., and Janet Gurwitch, former Executive Vice President of Neiman Marcus and founder and Chief Executive Officer of Laura Mercier Cosmetics, who each sit on Drybar’s board of directors.
