More than 17 years ago, CND pioneered nail artistry on the runway and defined nails as the ultimate fashion accessory. For spring/summer 2014, the professional nail care company partnered exclusively with The Blonds in New York and Michael van der Ham in London to create couture nail designs that truly push the creative envelope. Using CND Shellac and VINYLUX, as well as an array of unconventional materials, CND’s elite team of Education Ambassadors designed a total of 40 unique nail looks for just two shows, elevating Fashion Week nail artistry to new heights.
The Blonds – New York Fashion Week
For The Blonds, the CND Design Lab created 36 individual works of art, elaborating on the theme of “The Original Blonde.” Playing off of the designers’ ode to historical blonde icons set in space, the avant-garde nail creations were inspired by other-worldly explorations in a realm of fantasy.
