After opening its first shop in February 2010 in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles, Drybar has been expanding rapidly. Since the beginning of 2011, the company has grown from four locations with 152 employees and $1.5 million in revenue to an astounding 28 shops with more than 2,000 employees and is on track to exceed $40 million in revenue in 2013.
Earlier this year, Drybar launched a line of its own styling products and tools that are currently sold exclusively at Sephora, QVC and Drybar stores. New shops are slated for Boston, Houston and Chicago in 2013 to complement existing locations in Los Angeles, the San Francisco Bay Area, San Diego, Atlanta, Scottsdale, Phoenix, New York and Washington, DC.
