Hairstyles How To: Amy Poehler's Blonde Hair for the 2013 Golden Globes

The Golden Globes brought plenty of glitz and glamour to the red carpet last night. The stars were shining extra bright, whether it was the sequined dresses, brilliant jewels or luminous haircolor.

Tracey Cunningham, Redken Creative Consultant for Color and colorist to the stars, helped co-host Amy Poehler prepare for the awards with Redken color.

“In the past, Amy has always been a single-process blonde, but over the last year we have been growing out her color at the base and only applying highlights vs. all-over color," Cunningham says. "In order to get her camera-ready for her Golden Globes-hosting duty, I used Redken’s Chromatic Prismatic Permanent Color (Gold 10G + 30 Volume Oil in Cream Developer). The blonde really popped under the lights of the Golden Globe stage.”

Amy may not have left the stage with a Golden Globe win, but her haircolor is definitely the winner in our favorite blonde category! Opting for an elegant  updo, Amy’s hair was side swept into delicate bun on the left side of her head. Framed by diamond earrings, and several outfit changes, Amy’s Golden Globes look was as great as her performance.
