International Creative Director for Macadamia Professional, Giannandrea, who works with Christina Aguilera for her looks on The Voice's live shows, created the pop superstar's half-up hairstyle for the recent Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday, April 19th.
Inspiration: half-up, half-down, country twist.
Get the Look:
- Apply Macadamia Professional Foaming Volumizer to wet hair from roots to ends and blow-dry sections with a large round brush to amplify volume.
- Once dry, back-comb the front of the crown and secure with a clip.
- Brush the sides only into a ponytail on the top of the head and tie with an elastic.
- Clip a hair extension of the same color inside of the ponytail. Wrap a small piece from the ponytail around the elastic and use small bobby pins to hold the hair in place.
- Spray Macadamia Professional Style Lock Firm Hold Hairspray around the base of the ponytail to set the hair.
- To finish the look, unclip the top section and comb the ends back towards the ponytail. Gently twist the hair back directly beneath the ponytail and secure to the bottom of the base with straight pins.
- Rub one pump of Macadamia Professional Nourishing Moisture Oil Treatment between hands, then run hands over the sides and down the length of the ponytail for a sleek and polished finished look.
