After weeks of deliberation and three rounds of judging Denman Professional's inaugural College Star USA has announced its winners.
“Blow-dry skills are one of the key skills to master and this competition shows that hairdressing students all over the USA are determined to do just that," says Denman CEO Victoria Fishman. "We wanted to offer cosmetology students a way to show off their skills and give them the encouragement they so deserve. We are so grateful to every student that entered. Huge congratulations to our winners!”
First Place
First prize goes to Brandon Davenport of Paul Mitchell The School, Richland, WA. Brandon has won $425 cash and a 1-year PBA Membership.
Brandon created a gorgeous glossy and perfectly balanced loose wave blow-dry for her model, beating all the entries to take the top spot in the very first year of the Denman Big Blowout Competition.

Second Place
Second prize goes to Kyra Soard of Kenneth Shuler School of Cosmetology. Kyra has won $200 and a 1-year PBA Membership.

Third Place
Third prize goes to Sarah Mishler of Douglas J Aveda Institute. Sarah has won $100 and 1-year PBA Membership.
Second and third prize were awarded to Kyra and Sarah for the visual appeal and quality of their work.
