I was hoping to get that phone call in May, but you still never expect it. The moment I thought I was calm cool and collected, I got the call and completely lost my cool. I was through the roof with excitement, as was everyone around me.

I was hoping to get that phone call in May, but you still never expect it. The moment I thought I was calm cool and collected, I got the call and completely lost my cool. I was through the roof with excitement, as was everyone around me.
 
The Win:
The win felt surreal; everybody I know thought I was going to win this year, but I honestly didn’t. This was my fourth time as a finalist and everyone’s work was great, so I guess I was skeptical. When they called my name, I think I stopped breathing for a second before getting up. I am so honored that my work stood out and very proud of the accomplishment!
